Masters in Vocal Performance, D.I.T Conservatory of Music BMus, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama
Jean was a member of the English National Opera Operaworks programme for the 2015/2016 season and a former Young Artist with Northern Ireland Opera for 2013/2014 season. She holds a first class honours Masters in Music Performance from the D.I.T. Conservatory where she studied with Colette McGahon Tosh. She also has an Honours Degree in Vocal Studies from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where she studied with Suzanne Murphy.
Jean has performed as a soloist with the RTE National Symphony Orchestra, the RTE Concert Orchestra and the Ulster Orchestra. Oratorio work includes Exultant Jubilate, Carmina Burana, Poulenc's Gloria, Handel's 'Messiah' and Repighi's 'Lauda per la Nativita del Signore'. Jean has performed as a soloist in the Haus der Musik and the Musikverein in Vienna, Austria.
Roles performed include The Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, Pavilion Opera, London; Madame Herz in Der Schauspieldirektor, Northern Ireland Opera; Jenny’s Girl in The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahgonny, Opera Theatre Company; Yum Yum in The Mikado with Lyric Opera; the title role in Savitri with Mid-West Opera; Peaches/Baby Jane in Jerry Springer the Opera at the Grand Canal Theatre, Dublin; Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance; Polly Peachum in The Threepenny Opera.
As a harpist Jean has worked with the Bunratty Entertainers and performed for ambassadorial recitals in Vienna, Ljubljana and Zagreb. Recent highlights include playing for Windings tour dates in Whelan's, Dublin and Dolan's Warehouse, Limerick.
